What We Do - Subsea Field and Well Decommissioning Services |
ADTI has significant experience, through its well design engineering process, in the decommissioning of subsea fields and wells, and has carried out the development and implementation of efficient suspension and abandonment philosophies and programmes.
ADTI has the expertise to: Fully review and evaluate the current status of depleted wells or wells that have been determined as “no longer economically viable”. Determine the most cost effective method by which they can be fully “made safe” for initial suspension. Programme and execute full abandonment and recovery of subsea hardware (wells). ADTI has the necessary skills and expertise to provide an optimum abandonment solution that will fully comply with the Oil & Gas UK Abandonment Guidelines. |
ADTI will recommend the solutions:
To safely re-enter a well.
To provide safe and effective containment of well pressures and hydrocarbon inventory.
To install deep set and/or shallow set abandonment barriers.
Evaluate and determine the most cost effective method and means by which these abandonment plugs can be administered, either with use of a Semi-submersible Drilling Rig, of by use of a Light Well Intervention Vessel.
ADTI can provide the engineering skills to evaluate and determine the necessary intervention equipment needed to effectively provide a containment barrier to surface, and to ensure that the necessary equipment and services are fully serviced, maintained and prepared for their operations offshore. ADTI will ensure that the subsea Xmas tree and wellhead inventory are effectively terminated and safely recovered to surface for onshore disposal or recommend methods for reducing waste disposal requirements. ADTI can provide the resources to prepare the necessary regulatory HSE submissions and DECC notifications in ensuring that the well operator meets the legal obligations in the protection of the marine environment and discharges their responsibilities.
