Success with Catcher

Premier Oil and Encore have confirmed a new find with the 28/9-1 Catcher prospect which hit a significant oil pay.

The 28/9-1 well was drilled to a TD [total depth] having successfully encountered excellent quality oil bearing reservoir sandstones at the target Cromarty Sandstone level, preliminary analysis suggests the hydrocarbons are a light oil with an API of approximately 31 degrees. A potential oil water contact has also been intersected.

The well was drilled from Spud to TD (excluding coring operations) utilising ADTI’s unique Turnkey model with no HSE accidents or incidents.

Drilling was conducted with Transocean’s Galaxy II Jack-Up.
